1. First Impressions
If you’re looking for a Key West RV resort experience without staying right in the middle of the chaos, Key West KOA Holiday is such a great option.
Located on Sugarloaf Key, it gives you that tropical, waterfront feel while still being just minutes from all the action in Key West.
2. RV Sites & Layout
✔ Full hook-up sites
✔ Back-in and pull-through options
✔ Some waterfront sites
✔ Easier to navigate than many parks in the area
We stayed here in our 24 ft Winnebago View and had no issues at all fitting in or getting around.
We actually went to check out Boyd's Key West Campground while we were there—and it was extremely tight and just not for us. This park felt much more comfortable overall.
Most of the sites here are gravel, but they do have a few asphalt sites, which can make a difference—especially for bigger rigs.
We did see some big rigs there, so it looks doable, but between the tighter layout in areas and the gravel sites, I’d still be selective about the spot and plan ahead.

This is what really sets this park apart.
The pool and beach/waterfront area are so well done—it feels like a little resort. And having motor boat rentals right there on-site makes it even more of an experience.

✔ About 10–15 minutes to Key West
✔ Easy access to Duval Street and attractions
✔ Close enough for the fun, far enough to relax
You get the best of both worlds here—go into Key West for dinner, drinks, or exploring, then come back to a quieter, more relaxed setting.
5. Vibe & Atmosphere
✔ Tropical, casual, and social
✔ Mix of RVers and hotel guests
✔ Fun but not overwhelming
The addition of the hotel actually adds to the atmosphere—it feels more like a true resort vs. just an RV park.
6. Honest Opinion
We really liked this park—and honestly, it’s one of the better setups in the Key West area.
It’s not a high-end luxury motorcoach resort, but it delivers exactly what you want in Key West:

✔ Waterfront access
✔ Fun atmosphere
✔ Close to everything
👉 Would I stay again? Yes—for sure in a smaller RV.
👉 Best part: The pool + beach/water area
👉 Bonus: On-site motor boat rentals
👉 Big takeaway: Way more comfortable than other tight Key West campgrounds
For our 45 ft, I’m just not 100% sure I’d stay again—mainly because of the gravel sites and tighter feel in some areas. It’s doable, but not as easy or relaxed as some of the bigger, newer resorts. The park itself was nice but, it all changes when you get bigger.
